Due to my parents' financial difficulties, I was at home in the year 2016 as secondary school students who were scheduled to sit for the SSCE dropped out.
In a similar fashion, VNV Foundation came and picked me up out of nowhere.
They bought my Neco and Weac.
I bought Jamb as soon as I received my SSCE results.
I have never in my life imagined myself attending college.
Thankfully, I was accepted to Ebonyi State University.
From the time I started my studies until I graduated, the VNV Foundation paid for everything.
I received a call-up letter from NYSc in 2022 inviting me to serve in Sokoto.
We all knew Sokoto was one of Nigeria's longest states when I first arrived there.
I began to cry and dialed the VNV secretary. To me, it felt like a dream, when a flight ticket to Sokoto was sent to me. It was my very first flight ever. I received a brand-new HP laptop and the best phone I have ever owned.
They purchased everything I required for my service.
To make my life easier, they paid for my relocation to Ibadan (Oyo State).
They purchased everything I needed, including an apartment, for me.
I received a monthly allowance Like the VNV Foundation, was owned by my father. Words cannot express my gratitude and debt to the VNV Foundation.
